License

This project uses The NFT License, Commercial Use variant — the same license used on Flows.

—Own a token → display it, print it, sell merch with it — all without asking first, up to $100,000 in commercial revenue per year, per token.

—Past that, it’s an enterprise license conversation, not a blanket right.

—You can’t hand your rights to someone else to exploit independently — this license is yours to use, not yours to redistribute.

—Weaponizing the art — hate speech, harassment, cruelty — ends that holder’s license.

—Everything not expressly granted above — the underlying copyright, the generator code, the right to build new collections from either — stays with the creators.

The NFT License, as published, already provides everything this project needs without modification:

Non-exclusive commercial rights, capped at $100,000 USD gross revenue per calendar year — above that, contact the creator to negotiate an enterprise license (see Contact, below).
Non-transferable / non-sublicensable — tied to lawful ownership of the specific token; you can’t hand it to a third party to exploit independently, and it expires on that token the moment you sell it.
Hate-speech termination — using the art in connection with content that depicts hatred, intolerance, violence, or cruelty ends that license immediately.
Creator reserves all rights not expressly granted — the underlying copyright, the generator source code and smart contracts, and the right to build future derivative collections all stay with the creator by default.

Project-specific note

degenerative is a remix of Sally Ohlsen’s watercolor paintings, made and published with her permission. Future collections or derivative works based on this project or on Sally’s original paintings are something ryley-o.eth and Sally decide together, not something a token grants a path to. The generator code being publicly readable — inherent to any on-chain, Art Blocks-based project — doesn’t grant a license to use it either. The one narrow exception: forking the code to write your own higher-resolution personal export of your own token.
